About Shila

My Story

Design By Shila is rooted in a lifelong fascination that began in my childhood in Iran. From an early age, I was captivated by the interplay of art forms, whether it was the allure of glamorous outfits or the intricate beauty of architectural details. I could never quite choose between the worlds of fashion and architecture because I was passionate about both.

As I grew, this love evolved. At nineteen, I left Iran and began traveling the world, absorbing the rich cultural influences that shape both what we wear and where we live. My journey from fashion design to interior design was a natural transition, guided by a fascination with how culture, religion, and history influence both the clothes we wear and the spaces we inhabit.

Now, with a degree in interior design and a wealth of global experience, I approach every space as a canvas for a masterpiece. I specialize in transforming architecture into an art form, blending bespoke ceilings, intricate wall features, and innovative lighting with a deep cultural sensitivity.

At Design By Shila, every project is a reflection of this journey from a childhood in Iran enchanted by art forms, to a life spent bringing those global influences home. It’s all about turning spaces into living, breathing works of art, inspired by the world and brought to life through a love of design.
